ok i have a problem with my 99 pontiac sunfire gt?

the odometer wont light up how much is a bulb and how do i get the dash apart to replace it please dont answer if u dont know what ur talking about
ok i got it al apart yea it was a bulb for the lcd odometer now i have to figure out where im gonna get that bulb out can u get it at the auto store ?

A bulb should only run you a few dollars but I have the same problem and I just ignore the problem, if you look closely you should still find that the odometer is actually still giving you a reading but it is just really hard to see. If you do decide to replace it you will have to take out the dash I believe but I might be wrong.

can't read odometer

I have a 1999 Sunfire with an electronic odometer that cannot be read. But if I shine a bright light on the odometer I can see the mileage.

i got 1 from radio shack part # 272-1141 . im not sure about the 99's but in the 05's your soldering / de-soldering skills better be at the pro level because you need to remove the LCD display from the circuit board to replace the bulb . it has been awhile but from what i can remember it was about 30 pins .
