• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hello fellow Pontiac pilots!

I'm new to this forum but have enjoyed participating in many forums for many-a-reason. I look forward to y'alls wisdom and hope to share some experiences of my own.

I own 2001 Grand Prix GT that used to be my wife's car but has since upgraded to a newer car. I have now inherited the GT and plan to not only use it as as daily driver to let my pickup rest a little, but to also find some mods and tricks for it.

The car runs fantastic and has since 2001 when it rolled off the dealer's lot. It has 130K miles but still going strong. I do all the maintenance myself and try to stay on top of all its needs.

I would like to start with some suspension work; lower the car a little, upgrade some wheels, and upgrade the interior a little (tunes, etc).

Anyway, I will be digging deep into everyone's knowledge and stuff because I ask a lot of questions and like to learn a little bit of everything.

For instance...
I was thinking of pulling the 3.8 V6 and doing a Caddy V8 swap. Anyone ever done this> Heard about this? etc?

Anyway...glad to be here and see you all around!:)

welcome to the forum

Caddy V8?

I think it would be great if you find a way to do it, depending on which motor you're thinking about.

I don't know...

I know a 5.3 LS4 would be almost an easy drop in (not saying it is or anything but 2005 and up GXP's have them).

I was considering a Northstar or one of the new generation CTS (or the like) V8s

Its still a way down the road but something i wouldlike to consider nonetheless..

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome... :)
