Hi everyone, simply put, I have a 2004 Grand Am with the factory stereo installed. It only has the CD player and I am getting sick of burning CDs time after time.

What I am really looking for is a feasible option for an AUX input.

The car I had before my GA had a cassette player in the unit, so I used the adapter to play my iPod through the cassette player. I have noticed that some of the older Grand Am's have this cassette player in their stereos, and they are very identical to what I have in my car, only with that area being accessible to the cassette player.

I have the ability to possibly obtain one of these older GA stereos.

My question is: I was wondering if these older stereos will fit correctly in my car and more importantly, will the wiring be correct to where it will essentially be easy to swap?

Thanks for any help!

Did you look at www.crutchfield.com for a solution to your AUX issue. You will have to look at the wiring harness from the older car to see if it is a plug in for your current harness.
