On a Pontiac grand am gt, is this a radiator icon blinking?

Hey, We just got a used car. A 1998 pontiac grand am gt and as we are driving it, it has a symbol of a box. it has a another much smaller box on top of it. At the buttom of the big box theres what appears to be water. Like little squiggly lines. Above the water line theres a arrow down. Now Im almost 90% sure that its saying the radiator is low on fluid. Of course I am only 18 and I know ABSOLUTLY nothing. So I thought Id get a second opinion. if im wrong, im wrong, please tell me what it is. If not, well thats that then huh. Please and thanks
 
It's an old car. Check the fluid regularly. Those coolant sensors can get "gummed" up and not move up and down freely sometimes. Get under the hood and check it out.

I know people are enthusiastic to help and I dont want to discourage anybody but looking at how old a thread is can tell you whether it is worth commenting on.
 
Wow,I didn't even notice that! Seems to happen with zealous new members that I've seen. One day I log in no posts; the next day, 20 posts. I usually see they are old or whatever
