im a muscle car guy. i live bye the rule there is no replacement for displacement but i am intrigued by the fact that these shit box four bangers are getting shit loads of power with some spray that isnt even a flamable gas. its a pretty cheap way to get big power and there are getting to be some rice burners out there that are running good, primarily the all wheel drive dealeys that hole shot so well. i have seen a few of you guys are running it. what kind of luck have you had and what set up did you use. i need as much info as you can give me cause im giving some thought to setting it up in my TA

Shit buddy, DO IT!!!!!! I did and I love it! I used a WET kid from edlebrock, its around 700 bucks and I get another 150 hp at the squeez. I LOVE it, now you can go pick on some poor unsuspecting bikes!!!

did that 700 bucks get you everything you need to install it? How much work was it ...im pretty good with motors and a guy down the street has a machine shop and could thread my intake for the NO2 ports if that is the way to go.

No, the 700 was for the kit itself, I work at a GM dealership, so I got them to install it for me. Shop rate here is 107 an hour, bout 3-4 hours to do it if I remember correctly.

Be careful about doing it yourself, you need to make sure that the fuel pump and everything is correct. I didnt touch it myself, if you fu*k up, you WILL destroy your engine.

I also believe in the no replacement for displacement rule but there is a place for n.o.s. I believe that the little rice burners will regret running n.o.s. on the little shit 4 bangers because those motors are not built to handle the violent properties of n.o.s. I also will add that no stock motor from g.m. is built to handle it either.

Out here in canada, no dealership will do it, the dont want to be "responsible" if you kill your self. The way I see it, youll kill yourself with or with out N.O.S. if your an idiot. So, no, youd probably have to go to a hot rod shop to get it installed.

Bad76, my brother has a 96 Impala SS with a 150 shot on it, and it has 100,000 miles on it. Maybe he is just lucky. My opinion is if you don't go nuts with it, your motor should last.

I agree that if you do not go nuts with the nos you should be ok but at the same time it should be pointed out that no stock motor is designed to use nos and the repeated use of it will only weaken a motor. I am not totally against the use of nos but in my opinion there is nothing that beats a properly built pontiac motor.

The silly juice is just another "toy" to make you go faster in that time of need. IE: A rice burner that hass 25 grand under the hood pulls away, you waste his ass. Once in a while WONT hurt your motor. IF it is maitained properly.

If the rice burner has 25 grand under his hood and you've only got juice, you still loose. 25 grand on a rice burner is going to give that little piece of crap at least 300 to 350 horse and you can bet he will have just as much nos. You can keep your nos and I will just keep my 550 horse pure pontiac 455.

I run 330 or so hp without the bottle, 150 shot, and an auto tranny slushbox. I can rape my dad in his 67 ss camaro that is pushing 500 horses, Whats your 455 pontiac weigh? 4000 or more I bet, I have all fiberglass hood, trunk, and doors, lightweight, apex seats. I bet im under 3200 lbs. Ill take ya.

I am happy to see that you feel the need to think you have such a bad ride even thou there is always someone faster. My car is a little over 3,000 lbs and without the use of needing to cheat with nos I can gurantee that without you useing your nos I would destroy your bird with that chevy motor. Like I said before, nothing beats a properly built true pontiac motor.

I didnt think you would start crying over a joke. I know there is always someone faster, Soooooo sorry, didnt know youd take it so seriously. ( go on the twisties and see who wins) :D

I definitly did not take you seriously, I just hate all the go on the bottle advice that everyone seems to give when they have no clue what they are talking about. I still believe that there is a place for nos but just not on stock GM motors. Most people do not have the money to rebuild a motor or replace a tranny, ha ha just jokin'. Good luck with your tranny install and I hope you keep killin' them rice burners and mustangs.

Admitidly NOS isnt GOOD for the engine, but nor is a supercharger. The way I see it, if you DO put nos on your ride, you better know what your risking, do it "properly" dont do it yourself, if your a newbie. Thats just asking for trouble. But because of my lack of attention to what I was foing, and that silly juice, I now need a new tranny, oh well, thems the breaks. Small price to pay to kill some Yuppee car rice burners out there, Good ol American Muscle, nothing beats it!!!!!!
