Hi,
I just purchased a 1972 Lemans . It is a matching numbers car with the 350 2 bbl. Since this is just a base model, for the future sale should I rebuild the engine or replace ? It has original interior which is in great shape, solid un rusted frame. Being just a base model, I was not sure if the matching number engine would be worth anymore.

Thanks

Here is a Haggerty Car Valuation report on your car.

In my opinion the engine matters meaning keep the engine, in storage if you want.
However even in pristine condition the car is not worth so much that you cannot do what you want to the car.

Fix it up, enjoy the car the way you want it. just save the stock parts if you ever sell the car.

do a rebuild but you can get a complete top end kit from Edelbrock, heads, cam, intake, etc., just keep all the original parts. Also consider a complete dual exhaust.
