Hi,

Hoping someone has seen this before. Check engine light cam on, with the code of P0469. At the same time I am having a problem with the turn signals.

Are these related? I recently did the plugs/wires.

Also, it is both the front left and right signal that is attached to the headlight that do not work.

The lower (below bumper) work, but the right is intermittently not working.

Thanks for any help!!!

The code is totally unrelated to your turn signals. If you have an intermittent issue with right signal check the bulbs first for proper contact with the sockets both front and rear.

I really appreciate your reply.

Thanks...that's what I thought.

I wonder if I loosened a connection for the signals?

Probably corroded sockets , famous for this.

Thanks for the link.

Will check the sockets/connections today....-1.7 F outside. Yuck.

I am having trouble finding the purge solenoid valve part? I have tried google images and I do not see my engine.

Can someone tell me where it is? Thanks for the help!

Before you start guessing at what to replace, make sure the vents for the system arent clogged, that is a pretty common occurence between road grime and insect nests.

Will do. Thanks again....hopefully next post will close this thread.

I tested it by blowing air through it, which it failed due to air going through it. And I disconnected the electrical connector and the vac line, then ran the engine, and found it to sucking through the vac terminal.

I have now replaced the purge unit.

If anyone else does this procedure, be very careful of the connector for the vac line. It is VERY delicate. GM did not appear to have a replacement for it. They did have a replacement if you bought the hose that went all the way to the gas tank, it came with the connector.

I used a similar plastic connector for a vac line that is very close to it, which GM stocks. It seams to holding the connection well.

I have erased the CEL code, will know if all is well in 50-70 miles.

Thanks for everyone's help.
