Hey all. We have had our 2005 SV6 for a month now and like it. When we got it, PO said that the windshield leaked at the passenger side and under heavy rain, electrical things would act funky. I got the leak fixed and pulled the carpet to dry it out. After that was done and carpet laid back down, the passenger window won't work. Seeing that there is two big connectors at the kick panel, I suspected them to be the cause of the funky electrical issues as the PO stated. I haven't had any issues as the leaked was fixed right away and have since had some good rain storms the van has been through. I disconnected the large connectors and there is corrosion on the pins. I cleaned them up and did a continuity test on all the wires on either side of the connectors and all seems good but no window worky. I have GM eSI and found what I think is the wiring for the passenger door. What eSI shows and what I see at the connectors is not the same. It is the same at the window switch itself. The two connectors are grey and black. I think 40 pins each ( not all pins are used in each connector ) If I disconnect the grey one, the rear fan, rear wiper motor and lock don't work. If I plug it back in and disconnect the black one, the speaker, mirror, rear window sprayer and drivers door window don't work. If I follow the wire colors from the switch to either of the harnesses, those colors are not there. Is thereanother connector some where I don't see?

I don't think I am understanding GM's eSI software. I could be much easier to navigate if you ask me. The connectors I think I am talking about are C302 passenger door harness to body harness and C200 body harness to I/P harness. What's I/P harness? I don't think it's the switch as it worked fine ever since we had it up until I pulled the carpet back and moved these connectors around a bit. The fuses on the end of the dash on the passenger side are fine.

Anydody have any idea's? Can anybody identify each of thes connectors? I'd really appreciate the help.

I/P means instrument panel usually. Have you checked for a break in the harness in the rubber/plastic conduit going from the door to the body?

No I haven't. Is there a connector up under the dash that leads in the door? Color codes in eSI don't coincide from what I understand. They do at the switch but not at the connectors I understand feed the door. I'd like to identify the connector in the body to do a continuity test to the window switch in the door. Why is there 7 wires needed at the window switch?

Thanks for the reply!
