Performance Upgrades Suggestions

Okay, I have a 2000 Sunfire with the 2.2L engine. I am interested in more bolt on power upgrades, Such as better cam, and all that. I really don't have the money at the moment for a turbo, but that is a plan later on.

As of right now, What are some good suggestions?
 
start with a cold air intake and exhaust improvements
 
frankly speaking "get a v-8". ive heard of a fellow that gets 500bhp out of his 4 popper but as a rule of thumb the more performance you get the less it lasts. but thats just a opinion. keep in mind you can not slide the cam out without removing motor . no room.

you can try nitrous but the engine was never designed for a lot of stress

i would say at best, cold air/high flow air intake, exhaust, as previously said, and i would also think maybe a better ignition system, and fuel delivery system. maybe a slightly better cam, but like they said above, no room, gotta pull the motor.
 
agree on that:). what high perf coil packs are available?. and what are them red ingnition boxes for? im old school. like chips,coil packs? what is all that razzmitazz..,
 
Me and my twin both work on cars alot, so the know how of installing parts, and removing engines and all that jazz we know how to do all that. Although we are use to v-8's, This is the first 4 banger we have owned. We recently did a full tune up. We already have a cold air intake, and a high flow exhaust. We are mainly looking for cam suggestions, and such. ( Ya know, Links would be nice!)
