I have a 2000 pontiac montana that i have replaced the tensioner, the two idler pulleys, and the belt. After the tensioner it made no difference. After the top idler pulley i thought it was fixed. I drove it down the road about 5 miles and then the squeak came back. Then I replace the belt with a gates and the squeak went away. It didn't squeak for a whole day and then out of nowhere it started again. It squeaks now with a vengeance. You can spray a little water on the belt and the belt will stop squeaking for a few seconds. Then it starts again.
What is going on here? Any help greatly appreciated.
