Please help !!!!!!!!!!!!

ok , i have several issue at hand right now . let me describe everything thats going on . first off . i bought this car 3 months ago bone stock from a used car dealership . it came with the catalytic converter already cut off , but no check engine light was on . i know the light works since it was coming on when i used to start the car . now , as for my problems . it first started last week . the check engine light cme on while i was driving it . i had started it and killed it several times over a day and a half with no issues what so ever , but the light still came on . one morning i got up and tried to start the car to head to work , but it did nothing . it was acting like it wasnt getting fuel . also , the brake pedal was very hard and it wouldnt shift out of park , even with the the ignition switched over to an on position . i tried at least 20 times to start it and nothing . it finally made a pop noise and then it just started to spin freely as if the timing belt had broke . took the cover off and the timinbg belt is still good . did some research and found out it was the anti theft system , even though the the anti theft light never came on . i did a trick that a mechaninc friend told me about . he had me hook up jumper cables to the car and leave them hooked up for 10 minutes . i did that and then the car fired right up . it did though take a couple of tries to restart it . it acts like the starter wasnt engaging the flywheel - im thinking thats the pop noise i heard . it also will shift out pf park now unlike before . i started to do some work on the dash and then removed the guage cluster . now , ever since i rehooked the guage cluster back up , the car will start , but will run for only like a second and then die . also , none of the lights will work on the cluster . the only ones that come on are both of the turn signal indicator lights . when i try to start it , only the driver side turn signal indicator will remain lit . no check engine light , no anti theft , no nothing . i have rechecked the connections on the cluster and it all ok . i need some serious help as i am limited on funds and dont have a whole hell of a lot to shell out to fix this thing . any help would be appreciated . thank you very much .
 
well the first thing is check the fuse box then the wiring if those are all good then you should get a new converter if that doesn't work take it back to the dealer and get your money back because they sold you a broken car.
 
the car has ran fine the way i got it from the car lot for the last 3 months . it only started all of these issues just a few days ago . all of the fuses and all of the wiring is fine . the catalytic converter hasnt caused an issue at all . the issues the car is having has nothing to do with the cat being cut off . it has to do with removing the guage cluster causes the anti theft system to shut everything down . what i am needing is some type of procedure to reset the anti theft system so that the car will start and run
 
if the anti theft is the case then just google relearning program for the passlock 2 system. it takes about 15 to 30 mins to do it but it will give you step by step on how to

since the problems occured after you took the gauge cluster apart, i dont know why you did that, you have to take it apart again and see if you failed to connect something or managed to pinch a wire or some other fault in reassembly. No where do you mention what year car you have.
