Pontiac Firebird Automatic, click...

...at full stop? When my automatic Firebird comes to a full stop, a single loud click can be heard from the bottom front of the car. It reminds me of the noise from when I drove stick-shift and switched gears. However, at no other point during up- or down-shifting does the noise appear. What is going on? Also, can anyone please recommend a good Firebird forum?

It could possibly be the gears locking into Park (park prawl) is it when you put it in park or just when you stop without moving the shifter?
the only other thing I can think of would be possibly the upper strut mounts "creaking" which they sometimes do with age..
You might want to try some of the Camaro websites that also have Firebird info as they are the same basic chassis.. like Z28.com or camarosource.ca,or just do a search for the most site options ..
