Pontiac G8 GT

The only real issue we had with ours was the Yaw Sensor, could not get a replacement, messed up the stability system and it would try to correct a non existing skid. Replaced it with a 2020 Charger. It was a great car, but electonic parts were getting very hard to find. ours had 90,000 miles on it when we sold it.

I'm starting to have a little knock on the engine now. I don't know what to do.

Have you checked the engine oil level? If you dont have any mechanical skills take it to one or more shops to have it checked.

Is the cylinder cut still active on the car? We did not have the issue but the L76 engine was known for a lifter tick when the cyclinder deactivation system had over 50-60,000 miles.

Are you the original owner? If not its often hard to tell how they have been treated by P/O's
Also they like synthetic oil and if they were run with conventional oil some of the small oil passeges to the cylinder deactivation solenoids can gum up causing issues.

Just something else to consider.

How many miles?
