My birthday's coming up and I was given the choice of selecting a 2010 Chevy Camaro as my first vehicle or a 2009 Pontiac G8. I'm having trouble deciding which I should choose, so if anybody has any pros or cons about either of them I'd be really grateful for the input. The G8 would be just the sedan as I missed out on their last GT and I'm not too sure about the Camaro, but it looks like if that's the way I veer then I'll have to order one and will definately gun for an SS. Thanks to anyone who helps me out :)

G'Day Jacob, you have a nice choice to choose from, i can't say anything about the Camaro but you won't be disappointed if you chose the G8 ( they are a great car, that's coming from experience-( currently own a Holden Commodore SV6 ) and it goes like a dream, no problems what so ever, so in my opinion i would go the G8

all depends on if you need or really like a sedan. If you need a sedan than the choice is clear. If not, then the camaro, at this point would be a better choice if it is to be given to you......The aftermarket for the camaro is already huge and will only get bigger. Spare parts will be alot less of an issue than for a G8... and cheaper to get. Also the camaro will have a better transmission than the G8... I say this because there has been alot of improvements to the transmission over the G8 and for the fact that the transmission is made in Toledo versus Mexico......
but if someone is giving you the CAMARO OR G8, I would have them get me the Camaro and then sell the camaro immediately and then get the G8.... you will have several thousand dollars in your pocket at that point...... (that is if you dont care if they get mad at you or not for being cheesy in doing that......)
I personally like the sleeper attitude of the G8..... Cops love the new camaro.... and seem to overlook the G8.. which is a nice benefit....
