I am just wondering if a standard US Pontiac G8 can be easily altered cosmetically to look like the Holden/Vauxhall counterpart. As in bumper, trunk lid, steering wheel, etc. I don't know if the G8 was designed in a way for US safety specifications, and that the conversion can't be done easily or legally. Thanks.

The only problem may be with the headlights. These must meet U.S. Department of Transportation specifications.

As these cars are of very similar design you should be able to import these parts and they should fit with little alteration. I would expect to make some modifications to these parts though.

The G8 only looks the way it does because it was sold under the Pontiac name. I would imagine all you'd need to do is import the parts.

Yes it would be easy to change the look of the G8 to look like a Holden, all you would need is the Holden front bumper and new grill inserts and a new bonnet, you dont have to worry about the headlights as they are the same as the Holden Commodore here in Australia. you would have to import these items from GM Holden here in Australia, hope this helps

You list bumper and steering wheel all of which have to meet US safety standards. i doubt very much that you would be able to legally import these parts.
