Pontiac Grand Am 2000, my A/C stopped working...?

we tried to add freon and the dye to find the leak with no luck, each time the freon has been refilled(with dye) it has only lasted about a week or two. there is no problems blowing out air in the car just the fact that the air is hot! if i could find a diagram of the A/C system it may be easier to find the leak where-ever it is!
 
In addition to the dye, take a wrench and tighten the fittings. Since you don't have any more freon, you might want to take each fitting apart and check to ensure the rubber "o" ring doesn't have any cuts or bruises. There aren't that many and you just might find your problem.
 
if u have dye in the system....have someone inspect the evaporator core.....this will be hard to see and may require special tools...but grand ams have evaporator issues..
