couple mo's ago I went to Pep Boys to get my car fixed it was overheating. They charged me 1100 and it seemd the problem was fixed. Now in October my car gets hot again. Again flashed me that the coolant is low. I put some more but I think I am leaking bec. my tires on the right side of the car are wet.Its the same side where my liquid tank is. i'm sick and tired of spenidng my money on something that should've been fixed for the money i paid. Should I go to my dealer and ask for repair since they are specializing in pontiacs? What is the best possible option to repair a car and get good financing.

You should take your car back to Pep boys and tell them that you are still having a problem. They should have fixed the problem in the first place.

The problem with taking your car to the dealership is that unless the car is under warrenty, the dealerships charge much higher prices for everything.

If the car continues to give you problems, maybe it's time to think about trading it in for something more reliable

I actually have a grand am too and was experiencing the same problem. I took it to the mechanic and thought it was fixed but about a week or two later, that little evil light went on. So I took it back and they made sure it was corrected. Now I don't have as much of a problem with it
