    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hello Pontiac Fanatics,
I am the owner of a 69 Automatic GTO with a 72'400 Mtr and would like to put some better heads on it. These are the heads that I came across:

69' #48 Heads (325 hp automatic Tranny / 330hp-366 Manual Tranny)

70' #12 Heads (Ram Air III-330-350hp Manual Tranny / 345-366hp Automatic Tranny)

70' #15 Heads (360hp for a 455cid mtr)

Questions:

*Can I use the #15s on a 400 motor?

*#12 Heads-Do I need to look for something other than the #12 stamp in order to identify these as real R/A III Heads?

* Same for the #48s?

Thanks Mike

1. 1970 #15 is a small valve low compression head on a 400, 87 cc versus about 71cc.
2. The other 2 heads should have large valves and be about 71/72cc, see the link below and then look at other info on the same site.
