Acting wierd? My Van's fuel gauge acts wierd once it is half tank done but between half and full it shows correctly. What could I do to fix this problem ? Help ! Email - karimknew@yahoo.ca

Ther was a story in Canada - on the particular add-on to the gasoline causing headache for a GM. Just change the gas station...

The Pontiac and its cousin the venture share the same issue the fuel level sensors go bad, chances are this would be the problem you are having above a half tank level the circuit is fine below half (where the sensor sees its most wear in most cases) is where the card (sensor) wears out and gives inaccurate readings the tank has to be dropped and the card replaced .. I would also suggest if the van has any miles on it 60000+ replace the fuel pump at the same time and save a hassle later ...
