Pontiac Montana 2002 Garage Remote Help!!!?

I have a Pontiac Montana 2002 and the remote on the inside where there is three buttons is messed up. when i push the button it opens up my neighbors garage and i need it to stop. we both decided i would have it stop. I want to set it up to my garage but i dont know how! right now i have it disabled so that it wont do anything but what do i do after that? Please serious answers only. dont put just keep doing it and messing with your neighbors.

Your owners manual should have a programming guide in it or your Dealer should be able to help you program it to your opener, but it has to be newer than a certian year production for the opener or it will not be in the range for programming..
