Pontiac Montana techs..Need your help. CV joint and front end questions ?

Hello:

Thanks in advance. My wife drives a 2001 Pontizc Montana Van, that we bought new, had it serviced at the dealership all these years till extended warrantry expired. Has 122,000 miles now and at last oil change was told the left front CV joint boot was torn and time for a new one, before it got real bad. Mecahnic at speey lube told us it would be actally cheaper to have the whole front axile done now to avoid later trouble. Also, brake pads look good, but front end shimmies when brakes are applied. Told rotars are warped. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

It is easier to just replace the half shaft. Have the rotors turned, they are warped.
