Pontiac Sunfire 1996 2.2 Clutch problem!!?
I had the car for about 2 weeks, and bought it really cheap because the clutch was slipping.
Bought the clutch kit, it bring plate disc, clutch, and slave cylinder and bearing, put it all new, and the car was working fine for 3 days, and when I was in the highway, when I shift to 4th gear, I notice the clutch slipping and that's when I took the car to the mechanic, and he told me that maybe the slave cylinder could be bad, and then he bleed the clutch, and the car ran fine, and in 15 seconds the same problem, he told me to buy the Master Cylinder to see if that fix the problem, but I don't want to buy that and that might be another thing..have anyone had this problem??

the clutch slipping is not a problem with the slave or master cyl. when you release the clutch pedal, the clutch should grab the flywheel... if it slips, I'd suspect either a problem with the installation of either the throwout brg or the pressure plate.

Heat pressure

New clutch starts slipping after engine warms up? To fix go to slave cyl bleed port after engine has fully heated up and clutch is showing symptoms. Open it for just a half second to release pressure on the throwout.

if the cutch master cylinder has dirt in it and you release the pedal there may be residual pressure in the line preventing the clutch from fully engaging.
