1996 Pontiac Sunfire, Auto Trans, 2.2L. Just recently i tried to start my car and back out of my yard when it just shook and died. I know this is not a motor problem due to how great it will idle in park and neutral. If i dare to put it into any other gear, it will die down unless given alot of gas but as soon as you slow down it dies. I was told the torque converter but is it possible that it could be something smaller and cheaper?
