How do you install a power antenna on a Pontiac Sunfire? I will be buying an OEM Delco stereo for my Sunfire and it says there is a antenna trigger which I believe is used for when the stereo is on the power antenna is up and when it is off it is down. how would I go about hooking up a power antenna? would i just hook the power antenna to the pink wire which is the antenna trigger?

Where did you find a original Pontiac Sunfire power antenna or radio that has a power antenna wire?

one ebay, there was an option for several different stereos, and they all used the same wiring harness and the one i want to put in is the Delco 7 Band equalizer cd player. now on google i looked up a power antenna for the sunfire and one came up for the GT model but i bellieve it is also compatible with the SE model

I cannt find any factory listing for a power antenna on a sunfire. The pink wire is for automatic operation but it states in most diagrams "if available". Did you check your current wire harness in the car to see if it has a wire running to the antenna location?

your problem will be running a wire from that pink wire on the radio to the antenna in the back of the car

Just run it under the door sill.

chances are that power wire was used when the stero was in another model, say the grand prix or somthing. I added a power intena from a caddy, pull the power ground and trigger from the amp for my subwoofer.
