i have a 91 pontiac sunbird and ive changed both front strut assembly's new tires and tried to get the car aligned ive taken it to three places they all said they couldnt do it i heard it could b the frame is messed up somewhere so i took it to a frame shop they said frame is fine has anybody had this problem or no what it could b they got the tie rod tightened to the max on one side and they said its still off
 
Since you say tie rod I assume they cannt adjust the toe in. Are the struts you installed new? You are sure you were supplied with the correct struts for your year? Has the car been in an accident? Are either one of the wheels bent? It should be something pretty obvious if they cannt adjust toe in.
 
the car has never been in an accident and the strut assembly's are new the wheels are fine all three places said frame cause its a convertible so i took it to unique auto near me and they looked over the frame said everythings fine yet still cant get an alignment

So this frame shop didnt measure anything, they just looked at it? To determine if a frame is bent you have to measure it? Does the frame have any rust?

no he didnt measure but he said he could tell the car has never been in an accident theres no rust on the car at all
 
did you ever have the vehicle aligned before changing the struts? what part number did Rock Auto give you?
 
the car was aligned fine about 2 years ago and i dont no the part number i just no i looked up my vehicle make and model and engine on rock auto bought the strut assembly's and put them on

It's the same car mechanically would use same tie rod. Something else is wrong here and may be related to the struts you installed. Isnt the part number and manufacturer on the paperwork that came with the struts?

yea but i put the struts on months ago i have a 91 sunbird and a 92 sunbird ive been fixing them up so i throw away alot of boxes from parts i get
 
i dont no its gotta b the rong part cause car was fine before

well now its good but when i make a sharp left turn the car pulls to the left when i make a sharp right turn the car will pull to the right for about a mile i dont no what the hell is going on
 
sounds like something wasnt tightened
