I have an 04 Pontiac aztek rally edition, It's recently started lurching upon take off, sputtering like It's going to die while I'm stopped, there's a winding noise only when I accelerate. And it acts like It's shifting gears on It's own by the sound and jolting.. any suggestions? Help please

do you have a check engine light on and if so have you had it scanned? if not what is the maintenance history of the vehicle with regard to replacing air filter, fuel filter, etc. ?
