Not much clean up on the Sprint yet but the engine and transmission have been pulled out, and all of the interior has been gutted out. I decided not to try and restore the seats with the rusted out springs. I found a great set of year correct bucket and rear seats for a convertible. I Have the originals which will fit ant '67 convertible "A" body. Very scarce...
The engine had a frozen cylinder, but it was removed without damaging cylinder wall. The valves and camm are a little dirty, but otherwise cam and head are in excellent condition. I may have to replace valve cover.
Clean up begins next week. I'll need dash pads for both my Skylark and LeMans.

The Buick looks pretty good, what engine is in it? A Buick 330?
The engine is a 300-2, with a 2sp auto. Has pwr steering and AC. We tried pulling engine out yesterday but ran out of time. Try to finish it up today.

Much has been going on with both the Buick Skylark and the LeMans SPRINT. Neither is on Survivor Mode any more. The Lemans will retain it's SPRINT drivetrain. But the body will go through a frame on restoration. The engine is going through an overhaul but the 3 sp manual transmission will just go through a tuneup. The chrome and stainless has been stripped and will be delivered to D&R Plating in Huntington Beach for refinishing. The interior will be ordered from Ames. Brakes from Wilwood. Wheels are undecided.
The Skylark motor was too badly rusted and I had to opt out on overhauling it. The 2p auto will be cleaned up and go on the shelf. I am going to use one of my shelved TH350, and a SB305. A tired engine I pulled out of one of my other cars. It does have a roller cam. I will beef it up with a good set of heads, a Holley 600 CFM, and Sanderson headers and 2.5" Dynomax Super Turbo. I might go with a 3.55 Posi. It should make it a nice sleeper. Interior will be custom, and exterior will remain stock. I will keep the column shifter and add a nice custom console. Wheels will remain stock 14"but wider in the back with hubcaps and fender skirts.L 28.jpgL 27.jpgL17.jpgBuick Eng Out 2.jpgBuick Latest 5.jpgBuick Latest 1.jpg
