1999 Pontiac Montana 152k miles Ok, I have run the diagnostics and no codes show up, all the alarms for diag #2 work, but diag 3 doesn't do anything. I can manually open the door, but when I close it, it just bounces off the striker plate/B pillar. If I yank on the exterior handle 3 or 4 times, then I can hear and fell the actuator move and then it will finally latch for me. Since I have owned the van, the sliding door has never worked. I have reinitialized a few times, but no luck. I'm not sure if it's the actuator control module, the door latch release actuator, or the detent switch. Please let me know if anyone else has had this issue. I wish I could just disconnect the whole thing and just use it manually. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much.

Well this we probably be little to no help but I'll try,the two things that come to mind is clean the electrical brass contacts on the door and on the pillar, and the second have you tried lubing the hell out of it like wd 40 or some type of lithium grease and then using the power locks or by hand exercising the mechanism . Good luck and keep us posted, hopefully some one will comment on this subject.

The brass contacts are clean and it slides super smooth. There seems to be an issue with the actuator releasing the door for power operation and latching the door manually.
