put a 1 inch core radiator in a 2005 montana base

I have to change the radiator in my 2005 Montana base, 3.4 fwd. I see some listings for a 1 inch core instead of the 5/8 inch core. Are these interchangeable? Will it give me better cooling? TIA

if you have no overheating problems it will make no difference. If you stress the vehicle alot, towing, mountain driving, etc. the thicker core would be a benefit. Check your clearances first if you go with the 1".

I tow a camper and a boat, and it does get hot. I guess the 1 inch core is for the heavy duty cooling, I guess all the mounts would be the same?
