Hey everyone, I have a question in regards to my 350. I own a 68 lemans with the original 350 in it. Engine did not run so I tore it down. Luckily, the piston and crank were all std size :)

So I had my machine shop cut the crank .010, and it looks like I might have to bore out my cylinder walls.

Now here's my question, I'm guessing I might have to bore out to .020, but I am having a hard time finding some oem spec pistons. I've seen some on ebay, but I'm scared that I might end up with the wrong pistons. Are chevy 350 pistons the same as the pontiac 350?

Is it okay to post up a link to the pistons I had in mind?

Also, I'm going original as possible, did the 350 come with dish or flat pistons?

Thanks for your time.

A Pontiac 350 has nothing in common with a Chevy 350. Pontiac standard bore pistons are 3.875". If you go .020 over, you'll need 3.895" pistons like these http://www.summitracing.com/search/...6+4294951349+4294951388+4294951344+4294859380
Flat top pistons are fine as your compression from the factory was probably around 8.5:1 unless its a 350 HO. Just check or ask your builder to check the casting number on your heads to be sure. What ever you buy, just make sure its for a Pontiac 350, NOT a chevy 350.
