There is an 87 Fiero 4 cyl auto for sale. The interior is beat and the exterior is that of a 20/20 car. But mechanically there are only tow issues that I question.

1. There is a thump putting it into reverse. Is this a known issue? Possible engine mounts? What might it be? Other gears seem ok while driving. There is a slight thump going into drive but my Mercury Tracer did that from day 1.

2. Sterring wheel is cocked to the right. It seems to drive straight. Any idea of another cause for this.

3. Windshield needs to be replaced, idea of cost?

Welcome to the forum!
1. Could be mounts, or worn CV joints on the half shafts.
2. Could be an alignment was done after some front end work without having the steering wheel locked into the center (neutral position) as in driving straight ahead. A rack and pinion replacement would be a good example.
3. Have no real idea, but I would guess probably at least $150 for a new one.

msmith's answers seem to be correct however windshield glass ur looking at $220 + shipping so around $280 total

also is the windshield shattered or cracked?

if its cracked depending on the size of it you may be able to get it fixed instead of buying a whole new windshield.

1. The engine and trans mounts could be worn as well. Check the dogbone on the top right side and inspect the bushings. If they are worn chances are you will need new mounts all around.
Changing them is not to bad to do yourself.

2. When the last alignment was done they may not have centered the steering wheel or your alignment is off. Check the tires for abnormal wear. If they have it, alignment is out of specs.

3. Call local glass companies and get quotes.
