Radio Suppression capacitor on Voltage Regulator?

Do I need to replace the Radio Suppression capacitor on the Voltage Regulator if I am installing a new (current technology) radio in my 1968 Lemans V8 350 ? The original radio in the car was an AM radio with only 1 speaker (located in front dash.) Pros and cons to not replacing?

No reason to unless you hear clicking or some sort of static when using the AM radio.
