I was originally driving on the highway yesterday when it started. It happened shortly after slowing down to go onto a single-lane highway, about 10km in (already drove 200km+).
The temperature rose rapidly to overheat and the overheated protection warning comes on. There is no steam and there is no heat blowing from the vents after the inital build-up afterwards.
Vehicle is apparently still drivable up to 60km/h for limited time (on Friday) before the temperature gauge eventually raises up to the danger zone. Today on Saturday, it it only up to 40-45.
The oil is not tainted with a milky look (if a head gasket blew).
Also got a OBD2 code of P0141 that started earlier this morning, but this has happened before as a false alarm (and never returned after erasure) when there is a lot of moisture in the air/ground. It is mild in my area (around freezing) with snow on the ground.
LMK if what it could be and how long it could take to repair it. Thanks.
