...while hearing a thud followed? by a grinding sound. Once the engine warms up, the brakes work like they should. Any suggestions on what may be causing this?
 
It sounds like the rear brakes are grabbing when cold. How many miles since they were replaced? Have you had the rear brakes checked for this problem?
