My in law has a 2002 Pontiac Aztec with 145600 miles on it. Four sets of front brakes, no rears? L/R wheel bearing went out and I replaced the rear shoes and one cable. During the repair, I noticed that the L/R adjusting bracket was on the r/wheel , while the right was on the left. Also the star wheel adjusters were locked closed and chipped. Note the rear emergency cables entered at the rear of the vehicle thru the backing plates, both left and right. The self adjusting arms were attached to the forward shoes both left and right. Currently the self adjusters work in the reverse of the original design, backing up ,they should adjust out, instead they close. Built this way????? Does any body have a pic or diagram of the rear brake assy. both left and right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. chaz069 67 GTO 80 T/A

At 145K Im sure a number of mechanics have worked on this car and it was not built this way. Try getting a copy of the Hanes manual or try google for a picture.
