I have a 69 Firebird Convertible TA tribute car with 527 to the wheels and 514 ft lbs tq. It has been suggested to use Calvert Racing's Cal Trac Split Mono leaf setup along with their 9way adjustable shocks. vs a 4 link setup. Does anyone have any experience with Calvert Racing setups? Also, what is the largest tire size I can use. I have 17" x 9" rims on there now.

Is this is a street or track car?
Without knowing your final suspension setup no way of knowing what tire clearance you have.

For a primarily street driven car I would not put in that kind of suspension modification. It sounds like it is for a track primarily and you may end up regretting the kind of ride and handling through turns you end up with.
Since you already have the rims with tires on the car you should be able to measure your clearances from the inner and outer sidewalls of the tires to determine how much more you can squeeze in there.

thanks. Well they have a street setup and a track setup. Just need to get the car to STICK. Blows the tires off in every gear. Half throttle is all I can give it.

You do realize if they do stick the weakest link in the car will break?
What kind of rear and transmission?
Do you have a driveshaft loop?
