rear tire locks up!

1995 sunfire 2.2 , the passenger rear tire locks up when i hit the brakes only in forward, in reverse it works fine, any ideas?

It could be several things.... shoes improperly installed, sticking parking brake cable, bad proportioning valve.

self adjuster problem, the above isssues, etc. Take the drum off and start looking for the cause.

rear tire drums were to tight, loosened them up and brakes are great! thanks
