ok first of all I don't own a Pontiac Montana but my friend does and it's a 2005 Montana SV6 and recently his rear wiper stopped working (common problem with 2005-2009 Montana's) and he fixed the rear wiper for no $$$ and this is what he did:
1. checked fuse- turned out fine
2. check ground- all seemed fine
3. hesitation- none
4.motor-fine
5. checked for corrosion- yes
it turns out where the blade is attached to the motor corrosion was stopping it from turning completely, and he sanded it off, sprayed some WD40 and it worked again and he didn't spend a penny to fix it. remember the cap didn't prevent corrosion from getting in and I advise you to lubricate that every year.
just wanted to pass this along to all 05-09 Montana owners who had their rear wiper blade fail unexpectedly!
