go to www.nhtsa.com and check for recalls but it is doubtful on a car that old

I don't remember any for that year 3.1 engine (or components) but at over 10 years old it would not matter anyway as they were only covered for a limited amount of time under warrenty or if it caused a dangerous situation for the specific vehicle ...
(ie) fire, or other danger that could damage the vehicle or cause an unsafe condition ..
IT would Not cover "Wear" or parts after the normal warrenty period..
so the general answer would be NO there are No Recalls that would apply to either a camshaft malfunction or failed engine for that vehicle...
