I am restoring a 1960 Bonneville and it has some fading and wear on the instrument cluster. From what I can tell the shiny parts around the perimiter of the gauges and around the entire cluster itself is some sort of chrome-like paint (b/c you cant chrome plastic right??)

Does anyone know what was originally used in the factory to achieve this look and what is the best product to restore it with?

Thanks
Paul

cannt tell you what was originally used but a well stocked auto parts store will carry chrome paint just read the fine print concerning plastics
