I've got a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire GT Convertible.

I'm needing to replace the stock speakers - blew out the back 6x9"s and found an easy way to get to those, so replacing those aren't a problem.

The problem I've got is replacing the 4x6" speakers in the front doors... I can't find an easy way to access them. Does anybody know how I should go about removing the door panels or how I should get to the speakers?

I tried removing all of the screws and the little plastic cover over the door handle and could pull parts of the door panel "away" from the metal of the car but can't find a way to get to anything. Nothing would really come off, just pull off a little bit. It seems like there's things holding it together I can't access... any help please? :)

if u look under neath your door handles not the opener but the handle u would use to close the door from the inside there are screws in there i beleive u will need a hex head screwdriver.
