Replacement for cfi

Hello,
I am having my 1983 firebird trans am refurbished and I have a question regarding engine replacement with a 350 or rebuild the 305 which has 135,000 miles. Are there advantages/ disadvantages if staying with the cross fire fuel injection? What effects does altitude have on performance?

It depends on whether you are concerned with originality.
If you are not then the 350 with a carburetor and non-computer controlled distributor will produce more power.
The carburetor jets will have to be replaced with slightly smaller ones to compensate for altitude.
