replacing power antenna

hello. I have a 79 TATA.
I have a replacement p. antenna.
some have said the whole fender comes off to access it.

others say just the inner fender liner is all

what say you?
how is the inner fender liner comes off, given the age, will it break when I try to take off?

seems parts on these cars really get brittle and hard to replace.

remove the inner fender liner and the lower fender bolts, you shouldnt have to remove the complete fender. If you use care and patience you shouldnt damage the liner.
