Doing a resto mod on a 70 lemans, my only real question is will a 69s rear bumper bolt onto it or are they totally different? I am having a hard time finding a bumper from a 70 locally but the 69s are everywhere. I am not trying to clone it and its original front chrome bumper will still be used...but why does everyone have to remove the freakin bumpers when they park these things for years before they decide to sell it... lol

69 wont work..... only 70-72

( taillights are in the bumper 70- 72......... brackets are different also )

it doesn't have its tail lights either, so i need all of the bumper and everything that goes w it, but I was wondering if the bumper would actually mount to the car right. its the last piece i need to complete the body work lol nm re read your post, ok thanks guess the search continues for a 70s bumper lol thanks for the info

is that yours? ya im not skimping on the body work or intior this is a long term project but I would like to be able to drive it while its being finished, the condition doesnt bother me, it can be fixed

Feel lucky you're trying to find a rear bumper instead of the front end. Nobody makes the parts for the two plastic grill inserts or the upper portion that is made out of some kind of composite. At least I haven't seen any. I guess that's the part that always gets smashed in a crash and people just do a GTO clone. I had to do a lot of fiberglass and meticulous repair on my 70.
