rod knock 89 Pontiac sunbird. been driving for months. how long left?

i have this sunbird that has a rod knock for months.. probably put 10,000 km or more on it ... seems to still run.. goes threw a lot of oil, just wondering how long you think i have left on it.. or will it just keep going

I couldnt imagine it will last much longer, I would go ahead and line up something else to drive for when its done

I give it about 5 minutes more or less. I personally can't drive something that I know will fail soon. I also think the fact it goes through a lot of oil would be pretty expensive (plus bad for the environment).

it could last another week maybe a month or two its hard to tell,usually if its a rod knocking it would have already came out by now,but it will come out in time,they usually wont run no more than a few months even if the are drove real easy so you may be putting an engine in it sooner than you want to,its wonder its ran this long,good luck.
