running problems

alright so i was just recently given a sunfire it was parked in 02 i believe and since then ive started it up moved it and it ran fine before now i went out to pull it in the garage so i could replace the spark plugs and the car wouldn't hardly start and when it did it wont stay running unless i rapidly pumped the gas so i put the plugs in and it and its still doing it when i got it, it had oil around the valve cover gasket so after i got the plugs done i replaced the gasket for that too so i have no idea what would make it do that and no one i asked was of any help i don't know if it could be the fuel filter clogged or something to do with getting gas

would appreciate any help asap

i put 5 bucks in it before it started messing up like this.

well putting gas in a car that sat for 10 years will only stir up all the garbage in the tank. You have to drain the tank, replace the fuel filter, and put fresh gas in along with some injector cleaner. Try that first. Still running bad after that and you have no check engine light do a fuel pressure test. Would be a good idea to clean the throttle body too.
