Security light

I had the padlock issue this morning, waited 10 mins and the car started, now the security light stays on solid, is this an issue?

It can lead to the car not starting. Did you look in the owners manual concerning how to get Passlock to recognize your key?

I don't have an owners manual. It didn't start this morning, had the flashing light, waited the 10 mins til it was solid and then started the car just fine. Security light stayed on solid.

here's a link to the owners manual. If the procedure listed doesnt resolve the issue you many have a bad key sensor.

The car starts fine now, the light just stays on. Is the key sensor part of the ignition switch?
