how to bypass the fuel pump immobilizer

your ignition switch is gone and disables the fuel pump. if tou turn the key to the on position for @15 minutes the light will go out and you should be able to start your car but this is only a temporary fix till you replace the switch.

Grand Am Won't Start

I Am Having The Same Problem With My 2003 Grad Am. It Has Been In The Shop 3 Times For This Problem, 9 All Together. Take It To The Shop & Tell Them To Check The Anti Theft System. That Is The Problem With Mine So Now I Have To Get It Replaced. Sometimes I Wish I Would Have Never Bought My Car, But I Love It!!!

im havin the same problem with my 97 t/a if the secruity light comes on,it wont start for about 2 minutes(until the systemn resets itself) i've read in my service manual that its the lock cylinder. theres 2 wires that reads the code off the key (little chip in the key) that reads the signal and sends a current to the pcm and then sends a signal to the coil to allow the engine to start. those wires are known to bad after about 20,000 miles. what ive been told ur need to replace the lock cylinder
