I have owned this car for about 5 years now, purchased from a private sale with little to no information about it. What I'm most curious in is why the NCAA badges are there and if they mean anything? Was it a special performance package? Just a random badge stuck on it? I've seen over 3000 '04 GA both SE and GT selling online and none of them had the same badges. I have not been able to find any information or even a picture of the badges anywhere.

I just googled ' Pontiac and NCAA' and came up with Pontiac promoting the NCAA in 2003. The badges must have been part of the promotion and the original owner installed them.

It looks so precisely placed; if the original owner did it, they did a good job. It's on both fenders and the trunk. Pontiac partnered with the NCAA for a good few years though, so where are the other cars and badges? Where are the pictures of the other badges? If it was part of a Pontiac and NCAA promotion, then how did people go about getting them? It says, "performance series" on it, which would lead me to believe there's more to it. I just find it strange that there is no mention of special badges and no pictures of other cars with the badge.

Look at your parts label with RPO codes, could be in glove box or trunk. Then look up the codes to see if there is a RPO related to NCAA, I doubt it though.

They were advertising during the March 2004 Final Four, since it was largely sponsered by Pontiac. The NCAA Final Four Edition Grand Am. But from what I seen it's nothing special, the badge may be all you get with it.
