Has anyone installed the sequential LED tail light kit? I know Ames has a kit and Dapper lighting has a similar kit. Any experience out there? Good, bad or ugly? Also, any suggestions for LED headlights? I prefer with halo but not sold on it. Again, good, bad or ugly?

Thanks!

Ames as you know is Pontiac only so I would trust what they sell. Can't comment on headlights.

Well bummer! I was hoping someone had installed these and could tell me how wonderful/awful they are so I don't have to be the guinea pig!

I just joined the forum but I have the dapper lights on order and they should arrive in a couple weeks. I can post some updates when I get them installed. They have a lifetime warranty which is what sold me on them.

Thanks! Let me know what you think of them. I have been kicking that idea around for a while.

As an update the project was a bust. The website listed the lights as suitable for "68 GTO/Lemans" but they were actually only for GTO. The 68 Lemans have different housings and bolt down locations for the lenses. So, I had to return the LEDs but they seemed very well made. I ended up just buying LED bulbs from amazon and installing them into my car, not what I originally envisioned but at least my lights work and are a lot brighter.

Thanks for the update. I have been thinking of tackling this over the winter. Mine is a 71, so hopefully should have no problem as Lemans and GTO are the same.
